New Cross Inn

We had a totally tubular time at the New Cross Inn last week - great bands, awesome crowd and a really fun vibe - till next time!

Hi there,

Have you heard about Instagram?

Damn Skippy are now on it so you can follow us here.

Here is a short clip of one of our new tunes to celebrate:

The Glad (again)

We had another awesome night playing at the Gladstone Arms at the weekend - thank you if you came down!

Definitely check out the other bands Thallo and Sleepy Folk if you get the chance...

The Gladstone Arms

Damn Skippy will be playing a sort of acoustic-y, toe-tapping, finger snapping type set at the lovely Gladstone Arms in Borough on Thursday 19th April.  We'll be doing the gig as a four piece (sans drums) and playing two sets starting at 8pm.. it's free!

Acoustic Skippy

Whilst the website hasn't been updated for a while, we'd like to reassure you that Damn Skippy haven't disappeared!  We're writing new songs and whilst we hope to grace a stage near you as a full band soon, three to four fifths of the band have also been putting together a slightly different kind of set as a natty acoustic combo.

We've been out at a few open mics, and hopefully we might even get around to playing some more proper gigs before too long..

High-tech wizardry

Love ska but can't be in south east London this Friday night because you work in an Antarctic research station?  Fear not my friend!  The gig this Friday at the New Cross Inn will be 'live streamed' to Youtube via digital magic.  Just follow this link on the night.  Damn Skippy are on at 8.45ish..

See you Friday if you're coming down!

It was Damn Windy this week and a tree fell down into Sam the Drummer's garden, causing all kinds of problems and meaning he wasn't able to make the gig.  Disaster seemed imminent but was narrowly averted at the last minute as our mate Eny stepped in with just twenty four hours notice.  Despite only hearing the songs for the first time the day before he played a blinder and we had a great night!

Thanks to you if you were there and had a dance - we really enjoyed it - and a massive mega Skippy thanks to Eny for stepping into the breach and doing such an awesome job! Cheers dude!

We have a couple of gigs coming up in November - we're excited to be playing the legendary Gaz's Rockin' Blues and one of our favourite venues, the New Cross Inn.

Come along - we look and sound a little like this I suppose!
